Fan-Made Friday: Oscar Tshiebwe Is a Star in the Making

Why I made a fan card before the league did.

I've been sleeping on pro basketball. But the WNBA woke me up a bit and got me stumbling into something undeniable in my own backyard.

Lo and behold, the Salt Lake City Stars are quietly assembling a highlight reel, and the most gravitational player on the roster is Oscar Tshiebwe — 2023-24 G League Rookie of the Year and 6′ 8″ rebounding anomaly, who brings an energy shift every time he checks in.

Utah hasn’t officially met him yet and I love calling shots before they happen, so I made an unofficial “fan-made” trading card to welcome a future favorite.

The (maybe not-so-retired) PR Manager in me knows when a star has what it takes to lead a plot. And while the Stars don't get much hype, I think that's about to change this year.

I know I'll be watching!
